Job Summary

As a Customer Service/Sales Representative, you'll be the face of arenaflex, providing fast, friendly service to our customers and helping them find the perfect products for their projects. You'll learn about our products, tools, and services, and use that knowledge to recommend and sell entire projects to our customers. You'll work closely with your Department Supervisor and other associates to ensure a safe and shop-able environment, and contribute to the success of our store by maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance

  • Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell entire projects
  • Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
  • Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department and other departments
  • Participate in sales promotions, events, and activities to drive sales growth and customer engagement
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including sales data, customer interactions, and product knowledge

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

  • 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or related environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a home improvement or retail environment

  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Certification in a related field, such as customer service or sales
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience with sales software, CRM systems, or other technology platforms
