The Position

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Specialist II to join our Housing Choice Voucher program. As a key member of our team, you'll provide front-line information and assistance to customers, both on the telephone and in person. You'll also assist with general office functions, including filing, mail/fax distribution, office supplies, and related duties.

Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner

• Assist with general office functions, including filing, mail/fax distribution, office supplies, and related duties
• Use Document Imaging software to scan and manage documents
• Process mail and other correspondence, including opening and sorting mail, and preparing packages for shipment
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files, both physical and electronic
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve program goals and objectives
• Participate in on-the-job training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

* Three years' work experience in general office work, or related experience, including at least one year experience using Word and Excel

• Use of Document Imaging software is preferred but not required
• Two years of mail processing, or equivalent clerical experience is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Washington state driver's license with an insurable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a customer service or front-line role

• Knowledge of housing programs and services
• Bilingual or multilingual skills
• Experience with Document Imaging software
