Job Overview

As an Elementary Math Tutor at arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to work with students in grades K-5, providing personalized instruction and support in math and other subjects. You will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, adapting to different learning styles, and encouraging students to excel beyond expectations. Our ideal candidate is an experienced tutor and/or teacher who is passionate about education and committed to making a difference in the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide high-quality, one-on-one tutoring services to students in grades K-5, focusing on elementary math skills, entry-level geometry, pre-algebra, and homework prep.

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of each student.
• Adapt to different learning styles and abilities, ensuring that each student receives personalized attention and support.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular session reports to our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session.
• Effectively balance tutoring hours given for each assigned student, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed.
• Provide excellent customer service, responding to existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Follow up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed.

Minimum Qualifications

* Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields preferred.
• Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement.
• Experience with basic database/data entry.
• Ability to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session (lesson plan).
• Having a personality that is suited for different types of students.
• Strong administration skills.
• Strong typing, PC, and recording skills.
• Having reliable transportation with current car insurance.
• Access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone.

* Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities.

• Familiarity with educational software and technology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with lesson planning and curriculum development.
