As a Customer Service Associate, you'll play a critical role in delivering peace of mind to our customers by providing exceptional service and support in the moments that matter most. About the Role

As a Customer Service Associate, you'll be responsible for:

  • Responding to inbound telephone inquiries in a Claims Contact Center, providing clear and accurate information to customers regarding their claims
  • Initiating auto and homeowner claims by obtaining preliminary loss information from agents, insureds, and third parties
  • Explaining the claim process to customers and providing status updates on existing claims
  • Authorizing services such as roadside assistance and rental cars as needed
  • Ensuring all customer interactions are clearly and accurately documented in the claim file
  • Maintaining job knowledge through intermittent training and learning, incorporating new information into daily tasks

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills
  • Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to assume personal responsibility for actions
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong technical aptitude, including the ability to master multiple windows simultaneously

Work Environment

This role operates in an open office working environment, which may include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions. You'll be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift, and occasionally reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. You'll also be required to move, lift, carry, and place objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance.
