Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our after-hours team, working remotely from South Africa. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our clients and caregivers, resolving queries, and ensuring that our services run smoothly. This is a unique opportunity to work in a flexible and dynamic environment, with a 3-day working week of 4-hour shifts per day, and a Saturday and Sunday shift of 12 hours per day.

Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative - After Hours Support for Elderly Home Based Care Services, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Answering all incoming calls and resolving client and nurse queries that are within the scope of after-hours support
  • Providing timely responses to queries that come in through our texting platform
  • Notifying clients and replacing caregiver callouts as necessary
  • Confirming caregivers 1-2 hours before shift start
  • Performing initial intake for callers potentially interested in our services
  • Documenting all scenarios on our platform, as well as updating caregiver schedules as needed
  • Completing non-urgent Admin projects if time allows

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Fluent in English: You must be able to communicate effectively with clients and caregivers, both verbally and in writing.
  • Compassionate and confident: You will be working with vulnerable individuals, so it's essential that you are empathetic and confident in your ability to provide support.
  • Responsible and reliable: You will be working independently, so it's crucial that you are responsible and reliable in your work.
  • 10+ years' work experience in customer service + office duties: You will need to have a strong background in customer service, with experience in office duties and administration.
  • Adaptable and flexible regarding work hours: Our work schedule is flexible, so you will need to be able to adapt to changing circumstances and work hours.
  • Impeccable phone and computer skills: You will need to have excellent communication and technical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
  • Staffing and/or health care experience: Experience in staffing or health care is highly desirable, as you will be working with caregivers and clients in the health care sector.
  • Experience working remotely and independently to the USA: You will need to be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and communicate effectively with team members in the USA.
  • Quiet and professional work-from-home environment: You will need to have a dedicated workspace, with minimal distractions, to ensure that you can work effectively and efficiently.
  • Remotely set up with Wi-Fi and load-shedding back-up: You will need to have a reliable internet connection and a back-up plan in place for load-shedding.
