Job Summary

As a Customer Service/Sales associate at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to our customers, learning about our products, and selling entire projects to meet their needs. You'll work closely with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing fast, friendly service to customers by actively seeking out their needs and providing assistance
• Learning about products using our tools and providing information to customers to sell entire projects
• Greeting, qualifying, recommending, and closing every customer in your department
• Maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
• Providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards & unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
• Working in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
• 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets
• Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a retail or sales environment
• Knowledge of building materials, tools, or other related products
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems
