Responsibilities
- Responding to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing accurate and timely information and assistance
- Conducting research to respond to customer inquiries and interpreting policy provisions to determine the most effective response
- Independently resolving customer complaints, grievances, or appeals ranging from routine to moderate complexity
- Understanding and interpreting policy provisions, including HIPAA regulations and corporate policies
- Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex customer service issues
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of customer interactions
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in both speaking and writing Japanese is a must
- Strong proficiency in speaking English
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1+ years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems required; call center experience a plus
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; high-level capacity to multitask independently and on a computer
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to perform in a high-volume, fast-paced call center environment
- Proven ability to work independently as well as a productive member of a team
- Exceptional organizational and time-management focus
