Responsibilities
As a Scheduler/Customer Service Representative I in Cardiology, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Handling incoming calls to address eligibility, claim, and payment issues with empathy and professionalism
- Performing patient scheduling and referral work with accuracy and attention to detail
- Providing quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education
- Researching and resolving telephone inquiries related to customer service with a focus on resolution and satisfaction
- Scheduling a high volume of procedures for patients in a computerized scheduling system, ensuring timely and efficient processing
- Accurately obtaining required information in the scheduling process, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a hospital or physician's office setting, specifically in Cardiology
- Experience scheduling patient appointments and handling high-volume call centers
- Familiarity with Epic EMR systems and data entry skills
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
