Job Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud-based data infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on developing scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines that meet the evolving needs of our business. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with stakeholders and engineering teams to identify and scope data structure and generation requirements for business intelligence and analytics
• Partnering with partner engineering teams to enhance data infrastructure, data availability, and access to client insights through business intelligence tools
• Designing, building, and implementing ETL processes using AWS and similar technologies
• Implementing anomaly detection systems to proactively address potential data quality issues using industry-standard frameworks
• Enabling big-scale analytics using EMR and other large-data technologies
• Establishing and enforcing data quality practices that should be followed across the organization
• Working on proof-of-concepts for the adoption of new technologies and tools

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on cloud-based infrastructure development
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Proficiency in SQL and one or more query languages (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala)
• Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, KornShell)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

• Experience with large-data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and EMR
• Experience with large-data processing technologies (e.g., Hadoop or Apache Spark), data warehouse technical architecture, infrastructure components, ETL, and reporting/analytic tools and environments
