Job Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Account Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our collections team, you will play a vital role in servicing our large and growing portfolio of customers. This is a 100% remote opportunity, and you will be expected to work a variety of shifts between 8:00am - 7:00pm CST, Monday - Friday, and 8:00am - 12:00pm CST on Saturday.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Account Support Specialist at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Contacting customers to determine the reason for payment delinquency and negotiating payments.
  • Handling accounts with speed and accuracy while maintaining professionalism and integrity.
  • Confirming and/or negotiating payment arrangements, researching any discrepancies, and resolving customer complaints.
  • Completing phone calls to meet required performance standards and metrics, while ensuring that all customer interactions are handled with empathy and understanding.
  • Maintaining established objectives for delinquency, repossessions, and net losses, and staying informed of changes in policies and procedures.
  • Utilizing computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting, and documenting all accounts accurately, clearly, and concisely.
  • Responding to customer inquiries with accurate information, using professionalism and integrity, and adhering to all state and federal laws in the handling of accounts.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy and precision in all aspects of your work.
  • Professional phone etiquette, with a strong ability to build rapport with customers and resolve conflicts in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Good follow-up skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Persuasive negotiation skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Microsoft Windows and Internet-based applications experience, with basic typing and data entry skills, and the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
  • Ability to multi-task, with a strong ability to work in a team environment, and contribute to the achievement of team goals and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field, with a strong understanding of financial services and the auto leasing industry.
  • Prior experience in financial services or a similar industry, with a proven track record of success in a collections or customer service role.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations, with a strong understanding of compliance and risk management principles.

Education and Experience

The following education and experience requirements apply to this role:

  • High School or Equivalent Required, with a strong foundation in mathematics, English, and communication skills.
  • Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field may be used in lieu of experience, with a strong understanding of financial services and the auto leasing industry.
  • Prior experience in financial services or a similar industry is preferred, with a proven track record of success in a collections or customer service role.
