About the Role

As a Full Stack Data Engineer on our Promotions Information Designing team, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a robust information model that supports our advertising business. You'll work closely with our Examination Architects, Information Researchers, and Computer programmers to create data pipelines that deliver high-quality information to our business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and build a scalable information model that supports our advertising business

• Collaborate with partners to identify needs, model tables using programming and data warehouse best practices, and develop data pipelines to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality information
• Own key components of Netflix's Advertisements information model, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes
• Work with Examination Architects, Information Researchers, and Computer programmers to create data indexes that serve analysis and reporting needs intuitively
• Foster best practices for data management, including data governance, data quality, and data security
• Build strong and collaborative relationships with data researchers, analysis specialists, and AI experts

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building scalable and robust information models
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
• Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and data transformation for both batch and streaming data
• Familiarity with large data technologies, including Hadoop, Flash, Pig, Hive, Voila, and others
• Experience with obtaining and displaying data from application APIs
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building scalable and robust information models
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles and data architecture
