Job Summary

The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining mortgage-related data in our systems. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for verifying and cross-checking data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, as well as processing loan applications and maintaining electronic records.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and update mortgage application data into internal systems with precision and efficiency.

  • Verify and cross-check data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Process loan applications, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and organize electronic records, ensuring secure and confidential handling of sensitive information.
  • Perform quality control checks on data entries and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Assist in generating reports and summaries for loan officers and underwriting teams.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline data entry processes and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as document scanning, file organization, and email correspondence as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Experience: Prior experience in data entry, administrative support, or mortgage processing is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with mortgage or financial software is an advantage.
  • Typing speed of at least 50 WPM with high accuracy.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
