Customer Service Representative – Healthcare Industry Expert

About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team at blithequark. As the face of our organization, you will impact members' service experience by handling customer service inquiries and problems via telephone, internet, or written correspondence. Your role will be to engage, consult, and educate members based on their unique needs, preferences, and understanding of our plans, tools, and resources to help guide them along a clear path to care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues based on phone calls/letters from members, providers, and other departments.
  • Triage resulting rework to appropriate staff.
  • Document and track contacts with members, providers, and plan sponsors.
  • Guide members through their plan of benefits, Aetna policy and procedures, and have knowledge of resources to comply with regulatory guidelines.
  • Create an emotional connection with our members by understanding and engaging the member to the fullest to champion for their best health.
  • Anticipate customer needs and provide related information to answer unasked questions.
  • Explain members' rights and responsibilities in accordance with contract.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Customer Service experience in a transaction-based environment such as a call center or retail location.
  • Ability to be empathetic and compassionate.
  • Experience in a production environment.
  • High School or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to multi-task to accomplish workload efficiently.
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and production standards.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Analytical skills.
