About the Job

We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Staff Data Engineer to join our team in Sunnyvale, USA. As a Staff Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient data architectures that meet the growing needs of our business. You will work closely with our data engineering team to design, develop, and deploy data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes that provide insights and support decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

* Work with colleagues and partners to understand data requirements and design data solutions that meet the needs of our business

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and engineering, to ensure that our data solutions meet the needs of our business
  • Design, develop, and deploy data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes that provide insights and support decision-making across the organization
  • Build reusable architectures that improve the reliability and scalability of our ETLs
  • Manage a portfolio of data assets that deliver high-quality, reliable data
  • Mentor and train colleagues to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and architecture

Essential Qualifications

* 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a related field

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
  • 3+ years of experience working with ETL tools and workflow management tools such as Apache Airflow, Apache Beam, or AWS Glue
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipelines
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

* 3+ years of experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases

  • Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or PostgreSQL
  • Strong understanding of data architecture patterns and principles
  • Experience working with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes

Skills and Competencies

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipelines
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security
