Customer Service Representative – Animal Care Field

Key Responsibilities

As a CSR at blithequark, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing timely and accurate information to incoming client calls and product knowledge requests
  • Identifying, processing, and assessing client needs according to established policies and procedures
  • Handling complaints, providing appropriate solutions and alternatives, and following up to ensure resolution
  • Partnering with other teams to meet and exceed client's service expectations
  • Admitting patients and handling medical records entries accurately
  • Entering and updating client and patient information into practice computer software
  • Preparing health certificates, immunization certificates, laboratory requests, and euthanasia forms
  • Processing payments/client invoices for services performed
  • Receiving and relaying telephone, fax, and email messages accurately and promptly
  • Answering telephones and handling calls quickly, efficiently, and in a professional and friendly manner using a multi-line system

  • Technical Capacity: You will need to have basic computer skills and be able to navigate our practice computer software.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with clients, and handling a variety of tasks. You will be exposed to hazards associated with pets, such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly be required to talk or hear. You will frequently be required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. You may be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds up or down one flight of stairs.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Shifts and hours of work are Monday through Sunday. You must be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

* High school degree

  • Previous client service experience is desirable
  • Computer experience
