Your Day at Lowes

As a Receiver/Stocker, your day will be filled with a variety of tasks designed to ensure our stores are clean, organized, and stocked with the products our customers need. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Receiving and Stocking Merchandise: Safely unload merchandise from incoming freight, move it to the sales floor, and stock shelves.
• Maintaining a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Ensure aisles are clean, organized, and safe, and report any safety or security concerns to management.
• Customer Service: Answer customer questions, assist with merchandise, and provide a positive shopping experience.
• Inventory Management: Ensure products are accurately received, stocked, and replenished.
• Equipment Maintenance: Charge equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure it's in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities

As a Receiver/Stocker, you'll be responsible for:

• Ensuring products are accurately received, stocked, and replenished.
• Following proper lifting guidelines to safely stock products on shelves.
• Ensuring aisles are clean, organized, and safe.
• Engaging customers, vendors, and associates with a positive attitude.
• Remaining vigilant and reporting any safety or security concerns around the store.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
• Completing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills (addition and subtraction).
• The ability to hear, listen, and communicate verbally with others.
• The ability to use a smartphone and other common retail technology.
• The ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• The ability to minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience operating a forklift or similar equipment, as well as experience in a warehouse environment performing inventory handling and stocking, is highly desirable.

Travel Requirements

This role does not require regular travel; however, you may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.

Working Conditions

As a Receiver/Stocker, you'll work in a fast-paced environment with varying environmental conditions. You may be exposed to:

• Varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions.
• Constant or intermittent noises.
• Moving or shaking objects and equipment.

You'll be required to follow guidelines for lifting, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds, and using team lifts or powered equipment as needed.
