Job Summary

As an Experienced Manager of Strategic Relationship Management, you will be responsible for leading the retention, growth, and profitability of a Government Vertical account portfolio in our SME Enterprise Client Management Team. This role requires a strong and diverse skillset, including exceptional relationship management, consultative sales, and business planning skills. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative account management strategies that drive growth and profitability, while also building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute innovative account management strategies that drive growth and profitability

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including C-Level executives
  • Conduct business planning, quarterly and annual reviews, and business negotiations on rebids for strategic accounts
  • Develop and deliver client innovation forums, including agenda ideas and content, guest speakers, panelists, and facilitators
  • Analyze market trends, key business drivers, and client financials to identify opportunities for growth and profitability
  • Develop and implement solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute business plans and strategies
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to our clients

Essential Qualifications

* 3-5 years of experience in account management, sales, consulting, or procurement, with a focus on the Government Vertical

  • Proven success in consultative selling and increasing client revenue and profitability
  • Strong financial skills and analytical attitude, with the ability to understand key drivers of profitability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present to different audiences in a clear and persuasive manner
  • Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
  • Previous experience with clients in the Government Vertical and travel management preferred
  • Ability to apply and pass the FBI Clearance process

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

  • Experience with online platforms and Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Strong business insight and ability to communicate the Amex GBT value proposition up to and including the C Suite
  • Experience with clients in the Government Vertical and travel management
