The Role: Forklift Operator

We're seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our dynamic team on 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm). As a Forklift Operator at Lineage Logistics, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cold storage facilities. With a competitive hourly rate of $20-$22, plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus, this is an opportunity you won't want to miss.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up reach forklifts with slip sheet conversion to move products, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently.
• Put away palletized units into rack locations above floor height and pick units out for outbound shipments.
• Utilize Radio Frequency (RF) systems to track materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items.
• Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance and check sheets to ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Monitor battery charge, maintain, and clean batteries, and properly store material handling equipment at charging stations.
• Work collaboratively with other machinery and material handling equipment operators.

What We Look For

To succeed as a Forklift Operator at Lineage Logistics, you'll need:

• Basic math skills and the ability to understand instructions in English.
• The ability to work in extreme temperatures (-20°F to 100°F) while wearing personal protective equipment.
• A minimum lifting capacity of 40 lbs (18 kgs), with the potential for heavier lifting depending on the facility.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends if required.
• Comfort with varying noise levels, which can be loud at times.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:

• Previous experience operating stand-up reach forklifts or similar equipment.
• Familiarity with RF systems and warehouse management software.
• A background in a cold storage or logistics environment.
