Experienced FINOPS Strategist – Cloud Financial Management Expert with Advanced Analytics and Cost Optimization Skills

About the Role:

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategies to identify and reduce costs within our client environment
• Collaborate with multiple teams to facilitate the implementation of specified cost-saving targets
• Leverage advanced analytics to derive actionable insights on cloud expenditure
• Design and implement innovative solutions that enhance financial control and cost efficiency
• Establish best practices and publish policies related to forecasting, budgeting, authorization, provisioning, utilization, and billing
• Design meaningful dashboards highlighting key cost-saving opportunities and trends
• Develop and implement a cloud financial management roadmap to support our client's business objectives

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution
• At least 11 years of Information Technology experience, with a Bachelor's degree in business/MIS major or other related fields of study
• 3+ years of experience with tools like Apptio, Looker, Domo, FinOut, Densify, Cloudhealth, etc.
• 5+ years of experience with public cloud infrastructure technologies
• Proven understanding of cloud billing, metering, and the impact of usage patterns on total cost of ownership (TCO)
• Established capability to establish best practices and publish policies related to forecasting, budgeting, authorization, provisioning, utilization, and billing
• Expertise in designing and implementing a cloud financial management roadmap to support our client's business objectives
• Able to design meaningful dashboards highlighting key cost-saving opportunities and trends

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in implementing accurate key performance measures relating to operational and finance best practices
• Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams and proven ability to align priorities across finance and technology
• Able to produce meaningful insights from large, complex datasets
• Strong organizational skills, good judgment, and collaborating with different stakeholders
