Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Instructional Assistant to support student learning in the English Language Arts (ELA) department at Rise Kohyang High School, a public charter school located in Koreatown, Los Angeles. As an Instructional Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students, assisting teachers with instructional tasks, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

* Provide instructional assistance to individuals or small groups of students in ELA classrooms * Support instructional outcomes for students by checking for understanding and facilitating differentiated supports * Lead small group instruction and tutor individuals and small groups of students in various subject areas * Assist teachers in establishing and maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant classroom environment * Prepare instructional materials, maintain student records and files, and operate equipment as needed * Supervise students during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring a safe environment

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree required (Bilingual in Spanish or Korean preferred but not required) * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Organizational and time management skills, with flexibility in scheduling and prioritization * Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
