We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Molecular Technologist I-IV to join our team in a remote capacity, working on the 3rd shift (Tuesday-Saturday). As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a crucial role in developing state-of-the-art techniques for processing and interpreting vast amounts of genomic and molecular data. With a strong foundation in molecular biology and a passion for innovation, you will contribute to the advancement of cancer treatment and diagnosis.
About the Role
In this exciting opportunity, you will:
- Work with cutting-edge genomics workflows to provide high-quality next-generation sequencing data with rapid turnaround times in a clinical laboratory setting
- Perform routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures
- Execute complex molecular-based procedures with a high degree of quality and in accordance with established protocols
- Utilize next-generation sequencing technologies, including nucleic acid extraction, DNA/RNA quantification and qualification, NGS library preparation, and more
- Maintain laboratory equipment, workspaces, and data systems, ensuring compliance with CAP, CLIA, and NYSDOH regulations
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science, with relevant clinical laboratory experience in molecular biology
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team
- A passion for building products that can save lives and change the course of cancer treatment
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, experience with next-generation sequencing, work in a CLIA/CAP high-complexity laboratory, and knowledge of LIMS platforms and computer systems are highly desirable.
