Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient counseling and education on medication use, side effects, and interactions
• Perform pharmacist tasks, including compounding, medication therapy reviews, and prescription management
• Ensure the safe and effective dispensing of prescriptions, in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Participate in community outreach events and promote healthcare services offered by Walgreens
• Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to analyze performance data and improve patient experience
• Maintain current knowledge and skills in pharmacy and healthcare, including certifications and continuing education

Requirements:

• Current pharmacist licensure in the state of California
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities, with a strong understanding of state and federal controlled substance regulations
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become certified within 90 days of hire
• Preferred: at least 2 years of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, and pharmacy software and technology systems
