Job Title: SAP Payroll Technical Consultant - ABAP HR & US Payroll Specialist Location: Remote Duration/Term: Long-Term Contract Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Technical Consultant with extensive expertise in US Payroll and strong proficiency in ABAP HR code development. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Core HR and Payroll modules, including database programming, custom program design, and payroll process enhancements. This role involves creating reports, interfaces, and providing technical leadership to optimize payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience: Bring 9-15 years of payroll technical consulting experience.
- ABAP HR Development: Develop and optimize HR-ABAP code.
- Custom Programs: Design custom HR-ABAP programs and modify standard programs as needed.
- Database Programming: Work with PNP/PNPCE logical databases and cluster programming for payroll, time management, and Core HR.
- Core HR & Payroll Knowledge: Demonstrate expertise in schemas, functions, and operations within Core HR and Payroll modules.
- HR Tables/Clusters: Utilize knowledge of HR and Payroll tables/clusters to create reports and BDC in the HR module.
- Payroll Processes: Enhance payroll systems and prepare payroll reports.
- Reports & Interfaces: Develop reports, interfaces, info types, and program enhancements.
- Team Development: Lead and guide team members to improve technical skills and productivity.
- Forms Experience: Create SMART forms and HR forms for process improvements.
- User Exits: Leverage user exits, BADi, and BAPI to implement custom solutions.
- OOPS Concept: Apply advanced object-oriented programming concepts.
- Technical Documentation: Collaborate on requirement gathering, technical design documentation, unit testing, and code reviews.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven track record in payroll technical consulting with a focus on US Payroll.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications: SAP HR or related modules certification.
- HRIS Systems: Familiarity with other HRIS platforms.
