The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. We are seeking Software Development Engineers excited by the opportunity to work with multiple Amazon platforms and leverage data science to experiment bold new initiatives. Key job responsibilities 1. Design, implementation, and deployment of applications and services that impact the business with an emphasis on Fulfillment, and e-Commerce website development. 2. Knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices. 3. Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions 4. Work extensively with cross-functional teams across Amazon’s website, e-commerce and fulfillment platform on the design and development of core platform functionality 5. Work with the business team and project managers to convert functional requirements into detailed technical specifications. 6. Work with engineers both onsite and remotely to define technical tasks and build detailed implementation plans. 7. Participate in and provide design inputs towards the Platform initiative for streamlining international expansions. A day in the life The ideal candidate will be a leader, builder and operator. He/she should be able to operate in a very fast paced environment where time to hit market is super critical. The leader needs to balance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology choices. About the team You will be part of a key Delivery Experience initiative – “Easy Ship” which enables 3P sellers to ship products with Amazon. Amazon Easy Ship program caters to merchant fulfillment network sellers in 13 countries with the goal of making it easy for sellers to ship products bought on Amazon. Orders are picked up from the seller’s location by an Amazon Logistics associate and delivered to the buyers’ location with minimal effort from sellers. Customers get faster and predictable delivery along with tracking information. We own the platform that drive the above experience across desktop, mobile and APIs (for large sellers). Apply Job!
