Performs multi-modality procedures using computer processing skills, injection skills as needed, and other related techniques to produce images for interpretation by a radiologist or other credentialed specialist.

• Applies knowledge of growth and development to appropriately care for all patients served.
• Operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images. Performs IV contrast injections and other skills as required.
• Performs duties associated with processing patients, which may include scheduling, registration, file management and computer processing skills.
• Evaluates, prepares, positions and observes patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, courtesy, patience and safety.
• Complies with all Carilion Clinic and Imaging policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Participates in the training of students and staff as assigned.
• Maintains competencies and meets or exceeds standards for each skill performed.
• Maintains required certification for each skill. Enhances personal and professional growth through participation in educational opportunities.

What We Require:Education: High school graduate or GED and Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology, other associated Imaging technologies, or other approved training in Computerized Tomography required.Experience: CT experience strongly preferred.Licensure/Certification: AARRT registry, registry eligible. If not registered in CT, must become CT registered within 2 years of hire date. AHA BLS-HCP required; May be required to obtain/maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP based on specific work unit.Other: Good interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments. Must be able to function independently.
