You will serve as project owner/manager of each curriculum development projects, and contribute as a subject matter expert in Early Childhood Curriculum and author, as needed.In this role, you'll be a key member of the Education Leadership team and work collaboratively within the larger Education & Government Affairs team. This role also works closely across other departments to represent the Curriculum & Assessment work as we develop high-quality, impactful learning experiences for children from Birth to 12 years of age.Responsibilities:
- Strategic, team-oriented leader, managing the shared vision behind, and development of all curriculum products.
- Generate innovative ideas and solutions based on data, educational best practices, and field needs, informing the development of new ECE and School Age curriculum materials and products.
- Project manage all curriculum projects from conception to completion.
- Research, develop, and write high-quality, inclusive children's educational resources and materials.
- Adhere to the department style guide and ensure all content is copyedited and clean.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and represent the Curriculum & Assessment team in corporate initiatives.
- Report on timelines and results to the Vice President, Education Programs.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and innovative thinking for self and team. This includes staying abreast of updated research, trends, and industry changes that impact the work of the Education Programs team.
- Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a directly related field.
- Expertise in early childhood (0-5) curriculum and curriculum design, with an overarching understanding of curriculum for infants through elementary school.
- Strategic leader with demonstrated supervisory and project management experience.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including experience presenting to large and/or varied audiences.
- Ability to complete projects from concept to implementation, with flexibility and responsiveness to timelines.
- Teaching experience in group care or classroom settings.
- Commitment to, and understanding of, the varied needs, ages, abilities, and backgrounds of the children and families we serve.
- Growth mindset with the ability to accept feedback and pursue personal and professional goals.
