Flight Attendant - Miami (MIA)

Description Global Crossing Airlines (GlobalX) is looking for dedicated and customer-focused individuals to join its Flight Attendant team at Miami International Airport. This role offers the opportunity to enhance the in-flight experience for passengers while ensuring the highest standards of service and safety. As a Flight Attendant, you will fulfill directives from the lead flight attendant and serve all customers in a professional and efficient manner while representing the GlobalX Airlines brand with integrity and professionalism. You must meet and maintain company standards and regulations for attendance, personal grooming, and appearance while in uniform or on company property. Responsibilities include attending preflight briefings, conducting preflight checks of emergency equipment, verifying aircraft supplies, confirming catering, inspecting the aircraft's condition and cleanliness, and ensuring lavatories meet FAA regulations. You must adapt to various duties, perform effectively under stress, explain and demonstrate safety procedures, and enforce safety regulations. Additional duties involve preparing the aircraft for passengers, greeting and assisting them with boarding, verifying seat assignments, assisting with carry-on baggage, and providing meal and beverage service. A strong commitment to safety and exceptional customer service is required at all times. You must be available for a reserve schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, and may be required to travel away from base for extended periods. Maintaining a positive attitude while on duty and performing other safety and compliance-related duties as needed are also essential aspects of the role.

Requirements

The successful candidate must be at least 21 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED, with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred. A minimum of two years of customer service experience is required, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates must have no visible tattoos or facial piercings while in uniform and must be able to swim. A willingness to relocate or commute as needed is essential, as this role requires extensive travel, including overnight stays, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must be able to pass a 10-year background check and drug screening, be a U.S. citizen, and obtain a valid passport to fly to any country required by GlobalX. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, kneel, climb, and bend for extended periods, and reach overhead bin compartments to perform inflight duties. Candidates must also be able to fit safely and comfortably in the jump seat, with vision requirements covering close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
