Virtual Design Manager - Electrical

POSITION SUMMARY Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the Virtual Design group, including personnel management and development, budgeting and financial goals. What you'll do: 1. Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department. 2. Manage software products. Install and incorporate new version releases and customizations. 3. Analyze and document virtual design processes and problems. Assess current workflow, strategies, budgets, staffing, etc. 4. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies. 5. Develop internal training program. Coach and establish/support career development goals. 6. Establish employee performance goals. Conduct performance reviews. 7. Ensure the Virtual Design department meets productivity and quality goals. 8. Market virtual design services to internal and external customers. 9. Evaluate new virtual design-related software and technologies. Stay informed on industry best practices. 10. Perform additional assignments as requested/needed. What you'll need to be successful:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to detail, deadlines and maintaining labor estimates
• Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work well individually and as a team

leader What you bring to the table:

• High school diploma/GED
• 10+ years of experience in design, drafting or engineering
• Advanced understanding of current and newly-developing CAD software
