Campus Police Officer

Salary: $43,585.35 ? $48,815.59. Position Summary: As Campus Police Officer working various work hours ? 24-hour shift coverage, you will play a key roll in patrolling campus buildings and grounds while enforcing law, rules, and regulations on campus. The Campus Police Officer provides escort services on campus, relieves or substitutes for Campus Police Dispatchers, and locks and unlock doors. Provides general information; public relations; traffic assistance (directs traffic, attends to traffic crashes, assists with parking problems); writes thorough and complete reports on investigations, complaints, student conduct violations, and security issues using proper grammar and logical sentence construction. Performs security and safety duties at off-campus facilities that are owned, operated, or utilized by the College. Essential Functions: ? Patrols campus buildings and grounds while enforcing laws, rules, regulations on campus. Provides escort service on campus. Provide relief or substitute for Campus Police Dispatchers. Locks and unlocks doors. ? Performs security and safety duties at off campus facilities that are owned, operated, or utilized by the College. Deliver messages and locate students on campus during emergencies. ? Establishes public relations and provides general information. Provides traffic assistance (directs traffic, attends to traffic accidents, assists with parking problems, etc.). Provides written reports on investigations, complaints, security issues, etc. Reports observed safety hazards. ? Collects, prepares, and/or documents evidence and testifies in court. Requirements: ? Graduation from a standard high school or equivalency diploma. ? One year of law enforcement experience. ? Must meet the requirements of Chapter 943, Florida Statute. Apply Job!
