Position: IT Systems Administrator This role is responsible for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, ensuring seamless operations across client/server, storage, and network environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Windows and UNIX systems, scripting, system optimization, and technical support. Please Note: Candidates must currently hold an active Full Scope Poly clearance to be considered for this position. Key Responsibilities: Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for IT systems. Manage IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability and performance. Support day-to-day IT operations, including monitoring, problem resolution, and system optimization. Deliver Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support for system and hardware issues. Configure and manage Windows 11 and UNIX operating systems, applying system enhancements to improve performance. Assist users in accessing and utilizing IT systems efficiently. Provide detailed troubleshooting analysis and escalate issues as needed. Support the design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware. Implement Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) best practices. Required Technologies & Skills: Windows 11 Administration (Red Hat experience is a plus) Windows Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or similar) UNIX/Linux System Administration Help Desk and IT Support Experience Patch Management & System Updates Late Shift Availability (One shift starts at 6 PM; Patch days require flexibility) Qualifications: Active Full Scope Poly clearance (Mandatory) 15+ years of experience as a System Administrator (SA) in contracts of similar scope and complexity. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution. An additional five (5) years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Why Work with Argo?
