About the position As a Frontend Web Software Engineer on the Reputation Clients team at Airbnb, you will play a crucial role in building exceptional customer-facing products that enhance trip quality, user reputation, and listing performance. The Reputation Clients team is dedicated to creating delightful user products that foster trust, connections, and a sense of belonging among users. This highly collaborative team works closely with partners in design, product, data science, legal, and marketing to deliver features and experiences that are utilized by millions of people around the world. Your work will involve developing products related to reviews, which serve as a two-sided marketplace allowing both guests and hosts to recognize and hold each other accountable. You will also contribute to the Superhost program, which recognizes and rewards top hosts for providing outstanding experiences for guests. Additionally, you will be involved in setting standards that ensure trust within the Airbnb community, as well as providing insights through data visualizations that help hosts understand their performance and identify opportunities for improvement. In this role, you will be responsible for building Airbnb's quality, reviews, performance insights, and reputation products. The goal is to create a company-wide quality platform and hospitality system that enhances the overall experience for both Airbnb and its hosts, ultimately delivering magical stays for guests. You will be expected to follow best practices in frontend development within a fast-paced tech environment, collaborating with cross-functional partners to define and deliver high-quality products. Your contributions will include code reviews, architecture discussions, and building systems that are performant, scalable, and robust. Responsibilities • Build and deliver high-quality products in the reviews, standards, and insights space , • Follow frontend paved path and best practices within a fast-paced tech environment , • Work with cross functional partners (product managers, design etc) to define and deliver high-quality products , • Collaborate within and across engineering teams to build systems that are performant, scalable and robust , • Collaborate with teammates via code reviews and architecture discussions Requirements • 2+ years of experience in frontend web development , • Experience with modern JavaScript/Typescript libraries and tooling (e.g. React, graphql) , • Fluency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies , • Strong product sense and a passion for UX product development , • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Product Management, Design, and other iOS, Android, and Web Engineers Nice-to-haves • Experience with animation libraries , • Interest in working with data and performance insights Benefits • Base pay range of $153,000—$184,900 USD , • Bonus eligibility , • Equity options , • Employee Travel Credits Apply Job!
