Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to enhance our dynamic data team. Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will enjoy the autonomy to manage your schedule while working alongside a team dedicated to achieving data-driven outcomes. Your primary responsibilities will include: Identifying client needs and requirements for data, while facilitating the development of comprehensive database solutions. Leveraging your expertise in database technologies and programming skills to design and sustain effective data systems. Ensuring data is integrated into user-friendly formats, regulating its usage to align with business objectives. Evaluating new data sources, analyzing scalability, monitoring performance, and safeguarding data security. Conducting preliminary data analyses and crafting user interfaces to deliver valuable insights to stakeholders. Required Skills Proficiency in AWS services (e.g., S3, Glue, DynamoDB, Redshift, Lambda) with a minimum of 2 years of experience. Strong programming capabilities in Python, SQL, SparkSQL, and PySpark, with at least 2 years of experience. Excellent problem-solving aptitude and outstanding written and verbal communication skills. A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively both in teams and independently within an agile framework (Scrum/Kanban). Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Big Data environments (Hadoop, AWS, Python) is desired. Familiarity with Spark streaming and agile development practices is a plus. Understanding of Hadoop/Spark architectures, Data Modeling, and Machine Learning (ML) principles is advantageous. Knowledge of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles is beneficial.
