Remote Math Instructor/Tutor - $18-$20/hr
Mathnasium of Newton FULLY REMOTE MATHNASIUM INSTRUCTOR Although we are based in the Boston area, this is a fully remote, online math tutoring position, so you can work from anywhere in the United States. If you are outgoing, love working with kids, and good at math, we want you! This opportunity is perfect for college students, graduate students, substitute teachers (active or retired) or anyone who loves math! To apply, you must fill out our application at: mathsense.com/apply Your Role Youll be working with students grades 1-12, teaching math online. Tutors work virtually, with one student at a time. All worksheets and lesson plans are pre-determined by center directors and prepared for you. You dont need to do any prep work - the center handles it all. Flexible Hours We are looking for at least 15 hours per week. We run sessions Monday-Friday, 3-7pm EST and Saturday 9am-1 pm (not all instructors work weekend hours). (Please note that our centers and our students are... located in the Eastern time zone and all times referred to are in EST.) Pay The position pays $18-$20/hour, depending on education and experience.
Requirements
No tutoring experience needed, BUT ... Must have very strong math fundamentals Must have a dynamic personality and an ease working virtually with kids. Must have reliable hi-speed internet for video-conferencing. Must be a college student or have a bachelors degree to qualify for the higher end of the pay scale.
