About the Opportunity

Our client is a globally recognized leader in the eye-wear industry, known for delivering high-quality vision products and exceptional customer experiences. As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers reaching out through phone, chat, email, social media, and traditional mail. Your mission will be to provide timely, accurate, and empathetic support that resolves inquiries on the first contact whenever possible, while protecting and growing retail revenue for the brand.

This is a full-time, fully remote position with paid training beginning October 7, 2024 (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). After training, you will work a mix of shifts between 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with rotating Saturdays and an alternate weekday off. The starting pay is $17.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits, paid holidays, and opportunities to grow your career within arenaflex and the eye-wear industry.

Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in shaping the customer experience for a beloved eye-wear brand. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Multi-Channel Customer Support: Assist customers telephonically and through non-voice channels including chat, email, social media, and U.S. mail, ensuring each interaction meets or exceeds department quality standards.
  • Problem Resolution: Resolve customer issues efficiently using department tools, resources, business judgment, and collaboration with field teams and retail stores to drive increased customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Escalation Management: Initiate the escalation process for unresolved or complex customer problems, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Performance Excellence: Consistently meet or exceed productivity, revenue generation, and quality benchmarks to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Professional Communication: Use courteous, professional, and brand-aligned language in all written and verbal correspondence.

Basic Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity with arenaflex, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Location Requirement: Must reside within a 1.5-hour drive of Mason, Ohio (this is a remote role, but occasional equipment pickup may be required).
  • Education: High School diploma or GED is required; an Associate’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of high-volume call center experience in a customer service role.
  • Technical Setup: Must have reliable high-speed internet with the ability to connect via hardwired Ethernet (no hotspots or Wi-Fi allowed).
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate PC knowledge, working knowledge of Windows operating systems, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and fluency with internet browsers and mainstream web applications.
  • Math Skills: Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
  • Communication Skills: Strong English comprehension, excellent command of grammar, and the ability to produce professional written correspondence.
  • Problem-Solving: Critical thinking skills, sound judgment, adaptability, and a commitment to first-contact resolution.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation to pick up assigned computer equipment on the designated date (no exceptions).

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give candidates a competitive edge:

  • Medical or Insurance Background: Prior experience in medical billing, medical claims, in-office medical settings, or the insurance industry.
  • Retail Customer Service: Previous experience supporting retail customers or working in a consumer-facing brand environment.
  • Eye-Wear Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with vision care products, insurance verification, or optical retail operations.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) platforms or ticketing systems.
