[Remote] Ruby Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Callibrity is a developer-owned custom software development consulting company based in Cincinnati, Ohio, seeking a Ruby Software Engineer. The role involves leading technical direction, collaborating with clients, and solving complex problems using modern technologies.
Responsibilities
- Can solve a broad subset of problems with a broader set of solutions by choosing the right language, framework, and tool for a problem
- Work directly with key stakeholders at our clients to accomplish shared goals
- Communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Proactively identify opportunities, challenges, and issues and recommend a solution
- Demonstrate mastery of software development best practices (Agile, DevOps, Test Automation, CI/CD, TDD)
- Stay ahead of the curve by exploring new technologies including AI, Machine Learning, Cloud, and IoT
- Thrive in an environment where there is close interaction among different roles and teams
- Are admired by the client as someone they can count on, regardless of title or seniority
Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React
- Previous working experience in high-growth technology companies and/or startups
- Understanding of scrum, unit testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps
- Knowledge of microserviced architectures and RESTful APIs
- Good experience with relational databases and AWS
- Relevant professional experience in Information Technology and/or Consulting
- Four-year degree or successful completion of respected bootcamp/accelerator, or extensive mentorship program
- Successfully solve Callibrity's CoderPad and Code Pairing Challenges
