[Remote] Lead Product Designer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Search Atlas is a fast-growing SaaS company that builds effective marketing tools. They are seeking a Lead Product Designer to own the design process from wireframes to final delivery, collaborating directly with product managers and engineers to shape the product experience.
Responsibilities
- Use AI-based design tools daily to accelerate ideation, wireframing, and prototyping
- Stay ahead of emerging AI tools and actively bring them into the workflow
- Push the boundaries of what’s possible by using AI to move faster and design smarter
- Lead end-to-end design for key product features, from concept to delivery
- Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma
- Deliver designs that are intuitive, visually polished, and ready for engineering handoff
- Maintain and evolve our design system to ensure consistency across all product areas
- Document components and patterns clearly so engineers can build with confidence
- Identify gaps in the system and proactively close them
- Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to inform design decisions
- Analyze user behavior using analytics tools to surface UX improvement opportunities
- Translate research into actionable design improvements
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers throughout the build process
- Present design concepts and rationale clearly to stakeholders
- Communicate proactively, flag blockers early, and stay aligned without needing to be managed
Skills
- Experience in product or UX/UI design, ideally within a SaaS environment
- Strong, active working knowledge of AI design tools (Figma AI, Galileo, Claude, or similar). This is a must, not a bonus
- Strong Figma skills with a portfolio that shows real problem-solving, not just pretty screens
- Solid grasp of user research methods including interviews, surveys, and usability testing
- Experience maintaining or contributing to a design system
- Energized by startup pace. You don't need everything to be defined to do great work
- Exceptional communicator. Clear, direct, and proactive. This is non-negotiable
- Business professional English communication skills
- Familiarity with analytics tools (Mixpanel, Hotjar, or similar)
- Experience as the sole designer on a product team
