Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a Database Analyst at arenaflex, you will play a central role in ensuring the integrity, availability, and performance of our database systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• SQL Environment Support: Provide hands-on support for multiple SQL Server database environments ranging from low to moderate complexity, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

• Issue Investigation & Resolution: Proactively investigate routine database issues, perform root-cause analysis, and execute disaster recovery procedures when needed to minimize downtime.
• Routine Database Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance activities including file upkeep, backup management (full, differential, and log backups), SQL job monitoring and management, and SQL Server patching.

• High Availability Support: Assist in managing SQL Always On Availability Groups (AOG) and database mirroring configurations to ensure business continuity.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline — or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Database Maintenance Expertise: Hands-on experience performing routine database maintenance activities, including file management, backup strategies (full, differential, and transaction log), and SQL Server patching.
