Position Overview

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will serve as the first point of contact for employees of our valued clients, providing clear, accurate, and compassionate support on a wide range of benefits and payroll inquiries. Whether you’re helping someone understand their health insurance options, walking a new parent through parental leave paperwork, or troubleshooting a payroll discrepancy, your work will directly impact the well-being of countless individuals and families.

This is a fully remote, part-time temporary position with the flexibility to scale up to 40 hours per week during peak seasons (such as open enrollment or year-end processing). All hours are scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern Time, giving you predictable weekday shifts that fit around your life. arenaflex provides all the equipment you need to succeed—you just bring a reliable high-speed internet connection and a passion for helping people.

Compensation: $15.50 per hour, paid on a bi-weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Outstanding Client Service: Respond to incoming calls from employees of arenaflex clients in a professional, courteous, and timely manner, consistently meeting or exceeding service-level expectations.
  • Solve Problems with Precision: Research and resolve customer issues related to employee benefits, payroll, leaves of absence, and general HR inquiries, processing all necessary documentation accurately.
  • Maintain Quality Standards: Achieve and maintain satisfactory quality assurance scores by adhering to arenaflex’s established service protocols, call handling procedures, and compliance guidelines.
  • Build Lasting Relationships: Develop rapport with repeat callers and demonstrate a genuine commitment to providing a positive, personalized experience on every interaction.
  • Document and Track: Accurately log all customer interactions, issue resolutions, and follow-up actions in the company’s CRM and case management systems.
  • Meet Performance Metrics: Consistently achieve individual and team KPIs related to call volume, handle time, first-call resolution, and customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Stay Current and Compliant: Keep up to date with benefits plan changes, payroll regulations, and company policies through ongoing training and self-study.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal departments and client contacts to escalate complex issues and ensure seamless resolution for the employee.

Essential Qualifications

  • Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer Service Experience: Prior experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a phone-based or call center environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong typing speed and accuracy, with basic proficiency in computer navigation, data entry, and web-based applications.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear, friendly, and empathetic manner.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Demonstrated ability to think critically, research answers, and resolve issues independently.
  • Reliability: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to commit to a consistent part-time schedule with flexibility for increased hours during peak periods.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous exposure to benefits administration, human resources, or payroll processing.
  • Prior call center experience, particularly in a customer service or help desk setting.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, ticketing systems, or workforce management software.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
