Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and self-motivated Patient-Focused Remote Customer Service Representative – Pharmacy Support & Patient Advocacy Specialist to join our dynamic Specialty Projects Team. This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates who reside in the state of Nevada. In this role, you will interact directly with patients to influence generic medication utilization, support therapy changes, answer questions, solve complex problems, provide education, and uphold the outstanding reputation arenaflex has built for high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Communication & Advocacy: Communicate the benefits of generic medications and other appropriate therapy alternatives to patients, with the overarching goal of providing meaningful savings to both patients and clients.
  • Specialty Project Collaboration: Work closely with the Specialty Projects Team to conduct generic conversions and therapy changes for targeted medications, ensuring smooth transitions and positive patient outcomes.
  • Adherence Outreach: Lead numerous adherence outreach efforts designed to ensure patients remain on their prescribed medications, stay adherent, and maintain compliance with their therapies.
  • Call Handling: Effectively manage incoming and outgoing phone calls to patients, clients, and other customers, proactively gathering patient and order information with professionalism and empathy.
  • Insurance & Reimbursement Support: Apply working knowledge of insurance, health care, and reimbursement-related requirements to assist with dispensing, processing new referrals, and providing customer education.
  • Issue Resolution & Escalation: Perform routine assessments and identify potential problems, escalating issues to a licensed pharmacist when appropriate.
  • First-Call Resolution: Strive to resolve patient questions and concerns on the first call, embodying arenaflex’s commitment to excellence and empathy in customer service.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of all patient interactions and adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and governmental compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum of 1+ year of customer service experience handling and resolving customer needs over the phone.
  • High-Volume Experience: 6+ months of high-volume customer service experience working in a Windows, Microsoft, or similar application environment.
  • Residency: Must reside in the state of Nevada.
  • Education: Verifiable High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, health care, or insurance-related customer service role.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, prescription medications, and generic equivalents.
  • Experience working in a remote or work-from-home capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate multiple systems and applications simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment & Schedule

The team operates Monday through Friday, with weekends off. Schedule options are thoughtfully designed to create flexibility for colleagues balancing priorities in and outside of work. While your days off and hours may vary, you will be assigned a consistent, set schedule once established.

arenaflex offers Work from Home flexibility for candidates who meet the required standards. Work-from-home qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining your own high-speed internet connection that meets approved speed requirements.

Compensation

The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 – $28.45 per hour, with the actual base salary offer dependent on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is also eligible for an arenaflex bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
