We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Member Service Representative to join our growing team. This is a remote, work-from-home position supporting our Medicaid division. Position Overview

As a Member Service Representative at arenaflex, you will serve as the first point of contact for our Medicaid members and healthcare providers. Your primary responsibility will be handling inbound telephone inquiries with professionalism, accuracy, and empathy. From answering questions about benefits and eligibility to processing provider changes and assisting with ID card requests, you will play a critical role in ensuring every caller has a positive and supportive experience.

This role requires living within 50 miles of Linthicum, MD, and you must be available to commute to our Charleston, WV office when remote work is not feasible due to technical issues. We provide all necessary equipment and comprehensive training to set you up for success from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound calls from Medicaid members and healthcare providers
  • Assist with a wide range of inquiries, including but not limited to:
    • Benefit coverage and explanation of services
    • Eligibility verification and enrollment status
    • Provider directory changes and updates
    • ID card requests and replacements
    • Prior authorization requirements and status updates
    • Information about extra benefits and wellness programs
  • Document all interactions accurately in our customer management system
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations
  • Meet established performance metrics, including call quality standards, attendance requirements, and productivity goals
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate departments when necessary
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions and team meetings to stay current on policies and procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service that reflects arenaflex’s commitment to heart-centered care

Work Schedule and Requirements

  • Training Schedule (First 6 Weeks): Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST
  • Production Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST
  • Remote Work: Must have high-speed internet connectivity via ethernet cable (Wi-Fi is not permitted)
  • Backup Location: Must be able to commute to Charleston, WV office during extended technical issues
  • Equipment: Company-provided

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must reside within 50 miles of Linthicum, MD
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation with a passion for helping others
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-sufficiency in a remote environment
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection with ethernet capability
  • Commitment to meeting attendance and performance standards
  • Flexibility to commute to the office when needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working remotely in a call center environment
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare programs
  • Experience in healthcare customer service or insurance industry
  • Bilingual capabilities (a plus, but not required)
  • Proficiency with customer relationship management (CRM) software

Compensation and Benefits

arenaflex offers a competitive compensation package designed to attract and retain top talent. The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 – $31.30 per hour, depending on experience, education, and other relevant factors.
