Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp Agent, you'll be responsible for:

• Safely handling baggage, cargo, and mail to and from aircraft, ensuring timely connections and minimizing delays
• Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather-related issues
• Operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion
• Using baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to destinations
• Providing exceptional customer service to passengers and airline staff
• Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth airport operations
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to arenaflex's safety protocols and procedures

Work Environment and Schedule

As a Ramp Agent, you'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and overnights. You'll be required to work between 20 and 40 hours per week, based on operational needs and your seniority. You'll also be expected to work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, rain, and snow.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful as a Ramp Agent, you'll need:

• Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data
• Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles
• Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
• Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States
• Have a valid driver's license
• Proficiency in English
• Pass a physical ability test (PAT)
• Must wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high visibility safety apparel subject to an approved accommodation, such as alternate PPE
• Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal
