Responsibilities

As a Dental Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Answering Telephone Calls: Responding to basic customer questions and/or forwarding to appropriate personnel, utilizing knowledge and expertise on insurance and healthcare.
  • Processing Calls: Ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded, and recording calls, processing requests, and updating account history with results of inquiry.
  • Interface with Team Members and Customers: Collaborating with team members, management, and customers to resolve customer service issues.
  • Reviewing and Recommending Procedures: Identifying areas for improvement and recommending modifications to procedures and workflow to ensure efficient and effective processing of transactions.
  • Maintaining Composure: Handling escalated situations with poise and professionalism.
  • Operating Accurately and Efficiently: Working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple responsibilities at one time, and conducting outbound calls to members in response to customer direction or other business needs.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • GED or High School Diploma: Required, with some college preferred.
  • Experience in Dental Customer Support: A minimum of six (6) months experience in a dental customer support capacity preferred, with 1 year of previous experience in a government or private sector inbound customer service center preferred.
  • Comfortable Working Self-Managed: Prior work-at-home experience desired, with a typing speed of 25 WPM with 90% accuracy required.
  • Knowledge of Basic Help Desk Software: Familiarity with computer software and Microsoft Office applications, as well as strong problem-solving skills to bring inquiries to effective resolution.
  • Strong Customer Service Skills: Emphasis on written and oral communication to respond to inquiries professionally, with the ability to understand your role on a team and identify the correct stakeholders to consult to resolve client inquiries.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Managing emotions and maintaining positive energy, with a passion for meeting or exceeding performance goals.

Work at Home Requirements

To work from home, you'll need:

  • High-Speed Internet: A wired ethernet connection, with an upload speed of 5 Mbps and a download speed of 50 Mbps.
  • Stable Internet Service Provider: An ISP with 1% or less packet loss and latency under 100ms.
  • Available Cell Phone or Tablet: A device capable of installing our required 2FA software for multifactor authentication.

Additional Requirements

You must reside in the state of California to be considered for this role.
