Job Summary

As a Junior Geographic Information Systems Analyst, you'll be responsible for creating geographic data for assigned areas, designing PC-generated maps and reports, and providing administrative support to local dealmakers. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team, develop your skills in GIS and data analysis, and make a significant impact on our organization.

Key Responsibilities and Obligations

• Design PC-generated maps, reports, tables, and charts for the needs of assigned areas using MapInfo as specified by local dealmakers.

• Process requests and inquiries directly from Costco Activities for market strategy guides and presentation materials.
• Perform a variety of project-specific tasks, including research and analysis of data as assigned.
• Provide administrative support to local dealmakers by preparing accurate and timely cost reports, editing documents, booking travel, preparing visit books, and meeting other administrative needs as specified.
• Perform general office duties, including answering incoming calls, receiving office visitors, mail handling and processing, ensuring all office equipment is functioning properly, ensuring computers are working accurately, recording, booking deliveries, and requesting office supplies.

Required Skills and Competencies

• General knowledge of geographic information systems (GIS).

• Knowledge of data analysis and insights presentation.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in MapInfo.

• Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in GIS or two years of relevant work experience in geographic information systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
