The Role

As a Customer Service Representative - Not-For-Profit Support - Remote, you will play a critical role in supporting one of our newest customers, a nonprofit organization that processes scholarships for students attending K-12 private schools. You will be responsible for responding to incoming calls related to student inquiries, scholarship applications, and funding status, ensuring that all questions are answered, callers are satisfied, and students are registered.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond to incoming calls from families and schools participating in the scholarship program

  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing a wide range of inquiries and concerns
  • Resolve issues efficiently and effectively, ensuring a positive experience for callers
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and escalate concerns as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of customer interactions
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics and quality standards

Qualifications

* At least one year of customer service or call center experience

  • English proficiency (a language assessment will be required)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering an excellent customer service experience
  • Ability to remain empathetic, personable, and compassionate during sometimes difficult, tense situations
  • Self-motivation, detail-orientation, and ability to multitask
  • Accurate typing and keyboard skills; comfort with PC/internet navigation

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with nonprofit organizations or educational institutions

  • Familiarity with scholarship programs or educational funding
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
