Your primary responsibilities will include setting priorities, identifying and resolving operational problems, providing coaching and feedback, and conducting annual performance reviews.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Supervisor - National Remote, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and supervising daily, weekly, and monthly activities of a team of customer service representatives
  • Setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met
  • Coordinating work activities with other supervisors, managers, departments, and teams
  • Identifying and resolving operational problems using defined processes, expertise, and judgment
  • Providing coaching, feedback, and annual performance reviews as well as formal corrective action
  • Mentoring, challenging, and communicating effectively with all different types of people

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
  • 5 years of experience analyzing and solving customer problems in an office, claims, or customer service environment
  • Proficiency with Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Sunday-Sunday, with flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 6:00am-11:00pm EST
  • Ability to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • 2 years of customer service experience

Telecommuting Requirements

As a remote employee, you will be required to:

  • Keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Establish a dedicated work area that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
