The Role

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be working in a high-volume contact center, making outbound calls to potential customers to inquire about their mortgage needs. This is a short conversation (5-6 minutes), with a scripted approach to determine if they're interested in considering working with us. If so, you'll pass the customer to a Home Mortgage Consultant, who will guide them through the next steps.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist a well-known bank's national contact center within the mortgage line of business

• Be the front-line contact with potential customers of the home mortgage department
• Make outbound calls/cold calls to potential mortgage customers to inquire about their current mortgage needs
• Work in a high-volume contact center, making 100-150 calls per day
• Pull the next available lead to call out on from a queue
• Be trained to be SAFE certified
• Upskill multiple levels to leadership
• Explore sales/servicing opportunities, such as becoming a Home Mortgage Consultant, moving into fraud, or taking on a role as a Subject Matter Expert, Team Lead, or Manager

Essential Qualifications

* Retail sales, call center, and/or customer service experience

• Comfortable speaking with customers over the phone and having a positive outlook on the conversation
• Prior call center/sales experience is highly preferred, with candidates having this experience being a quick hire

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a high-volume contact center

• Knowledge of the mortgage industry and related products
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
