Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician - Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing professional phone assistance to our members, providers, and other stakeholders through the criteria-based prior authorization process. You'll maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfer all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist. Key Responsibilities

* Provide professional phone assistance to our members, providers, and other stakeholders through the criteria-based prior authorization process

  • Maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials
  • Transfer all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and provide exceptional customer service
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure compliance and best practices
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Minimum Requirements

* Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service position with high-volume call center experience; preferably in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position

  • Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred but not required at a State or National level
  • Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience in a customer service position with high-volume call center experience

  • Pharmacy Technician certification at a State or National level
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a pharmacy or medical office
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including prior authorization processes and clinical guidelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
