Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Remote Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, negotiating payment arrangements, and resolving disputes in a fast-paced call center environment. Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional patient service in the name of arenaflex's clients, ensuring a positive and empathetic experience for all interactions

  • Contact patients via telephone to collect payment on medical bills, utilizing effective communication skills to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve disputes
  • Communicate accurate and clear information to patients, ensuring they understand their account status and payment options
  • Review patient accounts and documents patients' interaction and feedback, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
  • Negotiate appropriate and reasonable payments with customers, taking into account their financial situation and needs
  • Set up patient payments via check, electronic transfer, or credit card, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with all policies and procedures, including HIPAA and other relevant regulations
  • Meet or exceed established goals, including customer satisfaction and payment collection targets
  • Work closely with team leads, management, and clients to resolve disputes and ensure patient satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including special projects and initiatives

Essential Qualifications

* Customer/Client Focus: Demonstrated ability to prioritize patient needs and provide exceptional service in a fast-paced environment

  • Communication Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Confidentiality/Integrity: Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion
  • Teamwork Orientation: Proven ability to work collaboratively with team members, management, and clients to achieve common goals
  • Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies

Preferred Qualifications

* Customer Service Experience: Prior experience in customer service, preferably in a medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle environment

  • Medical Billing or Healthcare Revenue Cycle Experience: Strongly preferred, with knowledge of medical billing regulations and procedures
  • Education: High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate required; one to two years of college preferred

Skills and Competencies

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and resolve disputes

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced call center environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing time effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed
