Work Overview
As a Junior Geographic Information Systems Analyst, you'll be responsible for creating geographic data for assigned areas, designing PC-generated maps and reports, and providing administrative support to local Deal Makers. You'll work directly with territorial Deal Makers, agents of Costco, and other sellers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities and Obligations
* Design PC-generated maps, reports, tables, and charts for the needs of assigned districts using MapInfo as specified by provincial Deal Makers.
- Process requests and inquiries directly from Costco Activities for market strategy guides and presentation materials.
- Perform a variety of project-specific tasks, including research and portrayal of data as assigned.
- Provide administrative support to territorial Deal Makers by designing accurate and timely cost reports, editing documents, booking travel, preparing visit books, and meeting other administrative needs as specified.
- Perform general office duties, including answering incoming calls, receiving office visitors, mail handling and planning, ensuring all office equipment, ensuring PCs are working accurately, recording, booking deliveries, and requesting office supplies.
Required Skills and Competencies
* General knowledge of geographic data systems.
- Knowledge of data analysis and insights presentation.
- Capability in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
* Capability in MapInfo.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in GIS or two years of relevant work experience in geographic data systems.
