We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our team at arenaflex. As a Lead Data Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring that our data is accurate, reliable, and easily accessible. You'll work closely with our Information Item Chiefs, Information Modelers, and Information Architects to create innovative data solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders.Key Responsibilities
As a Lead Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:- Designing and developing data warehouses and data pipelines in large data environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid)
- Building ETL pipelines in Big Data conditions using Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, and other technologies
- Helping engineer data structures and defining data models for the core data warehouse and data shops
- Collaborating with Information Item Chiefs, Information Modelers, and Information Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions
- Maintaining detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data governance
- Ensuring high operational productivity and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support obligations to our clients (Information Science, Information Examination groups)
- Being a proactive member and supporter of agile/scrum practice to ensure safety and cycle enhancements for your team
Key Capabilities
To succeed as a Lead Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll need:- Strong SQL skills and the ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets
- Experience with distributed systems like Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala
- Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
- Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e. Apache NiFi) and writing and maintaining data pipelines
- Strong knowledge of Data Modeling strategies and Data Warehousing standard practices and methodologies
- Experience with Scrum and Agile approaches
- You are a problem solver with strong analytical and relational skills
- Experience with Cloud technologies like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2) is a plus
